ABOUT
Nu Chapter was the first Latina Sorority at UC Santa Barbara.
In 1997, an interest group of 12 diverse Latinas were seeking a family away from home, when two sisters by the names of Jennifer Olguin and Lucia DeLuna drove down from Sacramento to provide us an informational. After two years as an official interest group, 6 of the 12 became the Founding Sisters of Nu Chapter, establishing our chapter September 26, 1999. Eleven of the twelve original interest group members eventually crossed into our chapter.
Gala Details
Gala Venue
The Anniversary Gala will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Quiet Cannon in Montebello, California.
Hotel Accomodations
The Quiet Cannon has two hotels on their campus. The Hilton Garden Inn and the Hilton Home2 Suites. We are currently working on getting a block of rooms at a discounted rate. We will notify those who register of these options.
Anniversary Celebration
25 years is a hard accomplishment to achieve. With over 190 sisters crossing since our establishment, this is a celebration of all the hard work and dedication every SINGLE sister has contributed in keeping us alive. We would love every NU chapter sister in attendance as you are the reason we are here today!
Notorious Expectations
As always the sisters of our chapter are expected to carry themselves with none other than style and grace. The dress code for this event is formal.
Reminder that you must be 21 years of age to consume and purchase alcohol.
Gala Registration Options
Registration for our 25th Anniversary Gala will be open until Friday, June 7th 2024. We ask that if you can afford it to please register sooner than later.
If you are going to do the payment plan of $42 payments, they are due on March 15th, April 15th, and May 15th. Please set reminders to make your payments using this website.
